In celebration of the Filipino History Month, the National Federation of the Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) Region V is holding its Filipiniana 2017 Gala to help fund our Disaster Relief Fund which is to assist victims of various catastrophe in the Philippines.
The 2016 fundraising event benefited fishermen of Bato, Catanduanes who lost their fishing boats which is their only source of livelihood when typhoon Nina hit the area last December 25, 2016. NaFFAA Region V partnered with Gawad Kalinga to help these fishermen of Bato, Catanduanes.
The Filipiniana 2017, a benefit gala will be held in the evening of October 7th and is open to everyone. We would be honored to have you, your family, and your friends to come and support our causes. Part of the proceeds of the gala will benefit the following programs also:
- Support NaFFAA Region 5 Regional Conference and Advocacy programs.
- Support the Alex Esclamado Scholarship Award for Region V College Students.
You can contribute to these efforts by purchasing a ticket, donating an item for our silent auction, or become a sponsor to the Filipiniana 2017 gala which will be held on October 7th at 6:00 pm at Radisson Hotel. There will be silent auctions, door prizes, cultural dances, live bands and dancing.
During the Filipiniana 2017 gala, we will be announcing the awardee for the "Lifetime Achievement Award" and the Outstanding Youth Leader Award". If you know of an individual who has achieved personal and professional excellence through a lifetime of supporting, mentoring and empowering the Filipino or Filipino American issues, individuals and communities and would like to nominate him/her, please contact one of the board to learn about our criteria for nomination or download it from the link below.
